A great starting point to explore different universities as well as programs is the website Study in Germany. The website has user friendly tools to plan your stay and your studies in Germany.
Funding
The diversity of funding opportunities in Germany is unique. In addition to large organizations, such as the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD- we recommend looking at their scholarship database), researchers and students are supported by foundations, such as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation or the Volkswagen Foundation and many more. Funding is also provided by universities and extramural research establishments.
Training Tools
As the liaison office in our region we offer training to FUB and LMU student "ambassadors" who are at our North American partner institutions.

Research in Germany
The “Research in Germany” portal gives an overview of the German research landscape and funding system, and provides interesting news from the scientific world. Additionally, practical information supports foreign scientists and researchers in their decision to collaborate with German research organisations or to complete a research stay in Germany.
